DGrid's AI Token Nearly Doubles on Debut as Its Decentralized Inference Network Goes Live
DGAI hit a $110 million market cap on day one, and the project says it sold 140+ of its personal AI hardware boxes within hours.

DGrid AI's native token nearly doubled in its first day of trading, with DGAI changing hands around $0.73 on Tuesday — up roughly 93% — on volume topping $165 million against a market capitalization near $110 million, per CoinGecko.
The launch accompanies the go-live of DGrid's decentralized AI inference network, which routes requests across models hosted by independently operated nodes rather than a single provider. DGAI is the network's working capital: it pays for inference, gets staked by node operators, and funds rewards, with penalties for poor performance under what the litepaper calls a Proof of Quality mechanism.
Hardware as go-to-market
The more unusual detail is physical. DGrid says it sold more than 140 DClaw Boxes — dedicated devices that run its DClaw personal AI agent against the distributed network — within a few hours at 1,580 USDT each, over 221,000 USDT in sales. Selling consumers a box that talks to a token-metered network is a genuinely different distribution strategy than another API key.
The pattern worth noticing
A 93% debut on nine figures of volume says less about DGrid than about the reopened risk appetite: this is what token launches looked like before the bear year, and their return is as much a sentiment indicator as the Fear and Greed Index flipping to extreme greed this week.
The skeptical checklist writes itself. Decentralized-compute projects have historically struggled to match centralized providers on latency and cost; Proof of Quality mechanisms are only as good as their resistance to gaming; and day-one float dynamics make launch prices nearly meaningless. The project now has a public token, a live network, and hardware in customers' hands — which means that, unlike most launches, its claims are now checkable. That is the part worth watching.
